Lee County Boxing provides structure, mentoring, and personal attention to Kids at Risk
David writes,
"Boxing has changed my life because I am a nicer person. I do not try to pick fights with people like I used to. I used to go around acting like a jerk, wanting to fight everybody that I didn’t like or even if I didn’t know them.
I don’t act like that anymore, I try and make friends. If someone disrespects somebody that is a good friend with me I will try and stop it or if somebody is trying to pick a fight, I stop it. I am a much better person than I used to be.
I am trying harder in school, harder than I have before. I care more about my education.
I used to hate this kid so bad we used to always just get in fights about childish things. I am above that now. If somebody says something bad about me, I just ignore them and act like they never did it.
I thank my coach Jack for helping me become a better boxer and a better person."
