Pinnacle Employees Reach Workplace United Way Goal

The goal for this year’s  campaign for the 445 employees of Pinnacle Foods/Armour for their combined United Way campaign was $23,000 and they surpassed their goal to raise: $24,795. The Fort Madison Area United Way will receive $13,690 and the Big River United Way will receive $11,105. In addition to employee pledges, they held a silent auction, bake sale, soup/chili cheese dogs lunch and raffled off special parking spaces near the door.

The Pinnacle Foods United Way Campaign committee is shown with Fort Madison Area United Way Director Connie Storms with the goal poster. From left, Linda Benjamin, Mary Kaneff, Karen Peters, Connie Storms (United Way Director), Joyce Sapp, Deb Hammer, and Dennis Tippey.

Both United Ways would like to express their appreciation for the generosity of the Pinnacle employees for helping their community provide needed services through their United Way participation.

The Fort Madison Area United Way is at 50% of their goal of $155,000 and hopes to have the workplace and community campaign wrapped up by the first week of December. For information or to donate, contact Fort Madison Area United Way at P.O. Box 454, Fort Madison, IA 52627 or call 319-372-3585.
